Purim Car Parade Outdoors at TBE
- Sunday, February 28
- 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM
Join us for a festive Purim Car Parade! Drive through the TBE parking lot and make stops at our photo booth, trivia question station, donation station, and meet some characters from the Purim story… all from inside your car!
Don’t forget to come in costume— you can dress up in a costume, wear a silly hat, or even decorate your car itself. Our costume theme this year is: What brings you joy? What are you looking forward to in 2021?
Please consider donating to Yad Chessed as this year’s contribution will take the place of previous donations from the Purim Carnival. Donations will be accepted until February 24 via the TBE Social Action Fund (select Social Action Fund from the drop-down menu).
Yad Chessed provides swift emergency financial assistance, grocery gift cards, and compassionate care, advice, and referrals to those in need. From now until Purim Day, Yad Chessed will be collecting monetary donations to fulfil the mitzvah of matanot l’evyonim, serving those in need. In accordance with Jewish law, the funds raised will be distributed on Purim Day so our neighbors in need can purchase food for themselves and their families.
You are also invited to bring cereal or canned salmon with you to the car parade to donate to Family Table, Greater Boston’s only Jewish food pantry. As a community, each month we are responsible for supplying 50 cans of salmon and 50 boxes of whole-grain cereal for families in need, and we appreciate your help in meeting our goal. Bringing these donations is another great way to fulfill the mitzvah of matanot l’evyonim.
