A New Model for Israelis and Palestinians Through Shared Entrepreneurship
Come learn about 50:50 Startups, a new non-profit entrepreneurship program that brings together Israelis and Palestinians to develop joint and equally-owned technology startups. Founded by Professor Amir Grinstein (Northeastern University), it partners academia and private tech companies to help Jews and Arabs, Israelis, and Palestinians to get to know each other and build trust, offer entrepreneurship skills and knowledge, and create economic opportunities. It demonstrates a new model of success: diversity and equality through entrepreneurship. Professor Grinstein will talk about the program and its positive effects as well as challenges, and TBE member Gareth Taube will describe his experience as a mentor to one of the groups.
