Read Lexi’s bio:
Hi my name is Lexi Marcus.

I’m 12 years old and live in Needham MA with my parents and little brother, Myles. Currently, I attend the Pollard Middle School – when not “remote learning” from home.

I am very passionate about art and love to create acrylic paintings than inspire people. So, for my B’nai Mitzvah project have been working on a special piece for a local retirement home. My painting will illustrate the values of kindness and display of wisdom that the elderly are handing down to our generation. The only reason we are here today is because of the generation before us and what they have endured. Now, I’ll be giving back to them with a painting that is intended to provide something new to their eyes that fills them with joy.

For me becoming a Bat Mitzvah means I’m becoming a Jewish adult and have more responsibilities in my household and in my community. This is a very big challenge which I’m excited to take on. As long as I work hard I can uphold the values of being a Jewish adult.
