Meet Your State Rep to Talk About Health Care
- Monday, January 27
- 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM
- Program Leader: Representative Alice Peisch
Massachusetts State Representative Alice Peisch (Wellesley, Weston, Wayland [Precinct 4]) will discuss the high costs of health care. We ask for her support addressing:
- the high cost of prescription drugs
- the burden of “Out of Network” surprise medical billing
- the difficulty of accessing appropriate and affordable mental health and substance abuse care.
This event is co-sponsored with GBIO (Greater Boston Interfaith Organization) of which TBE is a member. It gives our members an opportunity to meet with their state representatives to talk about health care — GBIO’s current health care legislative agenda. Participation with GBIO in fulfilling the Health Care agenda will bring critical health care remedies to huge portions of the population. We will also be sharing personal stories of the real impact of the high cost of health care on members of our community. Your presence and your voice at this meeting can make a huge impact on your legislator and in the campaign for affordable and accessible health care in Massachusetts.
TBE is a member of GBIO which works to coalesce, train, and organize people from all religious, racial, ethnic, class, and neighborhoods for the public good.
TBE’s Racial Justice Initiative provides opportunities to develop our understanding of how racism impacts our economic, social, and justice systems and to reduce racial inequalities.
