Maintaining Hope in the Face of Reality
- Thursday, January 2
- 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM
- Fee: $195
- Program Leader: Rabbi Alan Ullman
As Rabbi Nachman of Bratzlav taught, hope is one of the great spiritual virtues. We know there is much that is tragic and difficult in our lives and in our world. We often confront situations with no clear solutions, and sometimes with no possible solutions at all. Our experience of reality can cause us to feel hopeless or to conclude that our hope may be simply false or illusory. In these study sessions, we will delve into the collected wisdom of our tradition to explore ways that we might deal with these situations. We will seek ways to connect with hope, faith and acceptance in our lives today.
Dates: Thursdays, Sep 5, 12 & 26, Oct 3, 10 & 31, Nov 7, Jan 2
