Lone Soldiers – Volunteering for Service
Join us for an exciting program to virtually meet four lone soldiers
More than 70 young volunteers from Massachusetts are currently serving in the Israel Defense Forces. They are among over 3,000 young people from around the world who selflessly choose to delay their own futures in order to defend Israel and in service of the Jewish community. These lone soldiers additionally are comprised of new immigrants, individuals with a variety of social and economic backgrounds and even the ultra-orthodox. These are our Lone Soldiers. Join us for a special event where former lone soldiers from local cities and towns will share stories and engage in a panel discussion about this unique experience. Come, hear and meet the lone soldier speakers.
The Israel Current Events Program (ICEP) is a dynamic discussion group for learning and exploring important aspects of Israeli current events and how they impact Israel. Invited speakers share expertise on a specific topic related to Israel, typically followed by Q&A and group discussion. Topics selected based on timely and pressing issues facing Israel. ICEP typically meets one Sunday per month.
All are welcome and prior registration is not required.
