Humanity is Not a Spectator Sport Art Exhibit (In Person)

Join the RJI in a private showing of Caron Tabb’s new exhibit. Fueled by the past decade’s racial strife, injustice and murders, and magnified by the glaring inequities highlighted by the Covid pandemic, Tabb experienced a profound reckoning and investigation into her own “white privilege.” As described in her Rosh Hashanah D’var Torah, Tabb engaged in a series of difficult conversations in which she questioned her role, responsibilities, and culpability as a white woman. “Humanity is Not a Spectator Sport” is the expression of this very personal journey as well as a communal call to action. Her conceptual mixed media and installation pieces address social inequality, racial injustice, and feminism as seen through the artist’s deep Jewish identity while encouraging change in others through our own resilience and intentions.

Attendance is limited to 30 people. Vaccinations and facemasks required. Additional information regarding the event will be sent upon registration.
