GIVING | SUPPORT TBE

Derech L’Atid Campaign

Endowing our future

It’s our obligation to solidify TBE’s legacy for future generations.

In 1949, we created our community.

In 2010, we constructed our
new home.

Now, we build our legacy.

In 2018, our TBE community commenced a visioning and planning process. More than 700 of us participated in a series of conversations, helping us to establish an understanding of the current and future needs of our congregation. We have incorporated these learnings into TBE’s mission, vision, values, strategic priorities, and Endowment campaign.

Now is our moment to raise our goal of $18 million in support of all we aspire to do to achieve our community’s mission, vision and values. We will build on and preserve our founder’s vision and continue to evolve to meet the needs of our vibrant Jewish community. Of course, this requires solid financial footing. We envision an endowment made up of thousands of gifts from TBE families, and we feel confident that we can achieve this together.

Our campaign rests on three pillars

The following funding opportunities, Torah, Avodah, and Gemilut Chasadim, will empower our community and endow our future.
Click on a leaf to learn more about the pillars that support us.

Torah — Learning

Continue to build award-winning curricula, enabling our congregants to explore judaism through the modalities that are most appealing to them (e.g., art, science, technology, and literature).

Strengthen our community's commitment to inclusivity and accessibility by ensuring that our learning programs, building, and worship are available for all, no matter how specific their needs.

Endow our Executive Director of Jewish Living & Learning, who pushes the boundaries of excellence in academic and experiential Jewish learning for all ages.

Gemilut Chasadim — Acts of Caring

Nurture our congregants’ breakthrough ideas—turning ideas into community action— with the potential to tackle our world’s most pressing problems.

Expand our Caring Community to ensure that all our members receive the comfort and support they deserve during times of joy and sorrow.

Ensure our doors can be open to anyone seeking our community by providing financial assistance to those in need of relief from membership dues, youth and adult learning program fees, and tuition for Gan Elohim Early Learning Center.

Avodah — Searching for the Sacred

Endow our Rabbinical and Cantorial Chairs so that we can retain the best and brightest spiritual leaders.

Sustain and grow our inspiring music and prayer, the hallmark of TBE.

Invest in pastoral care in order to help our clergy, professional team, and volunteers reach every segment of our community.

Modernize our operations to enhance our technology infrastructure, communications, and resources to keep our people and building secure.

A community-wide campaign

Our hope is that every family will participate in this effort at whatever level is comfortable. Every gift makes TBE stronger.

Ways to support the campaign

Sustained Pledges

Sustain our TBE Fund with pledges payable over a multi-year period. As Derech L’Atid is a community-wide campaign, our hope is that every family participates at a level comfortable for them, and gifts and pledge payments be made in any number of ways. Pledges allow the synagogue to plan for expenditures related to the goals of the campaign and maintain our pillars year after year.

Endowing a Family Legacy Fund

Temple Beth Elohim will offer a variety of naming opportunities for congregants to support their passions and values. The Endowed Family Legacy Funds seek to perpetuate our community’s mission, vision, and values, and endow our future. Your gift can be pledged over a multi-year period. Naming opportunities may be recognized via signage, displays on TBE’s website, or other ways to be determined by the TBE Board and Campaign Leadership.

L'Dor V'Dor Society

The L’Dor V’Dor Society is critical to the financial sustainability of our community. By joining the L’Dor V’Dor Society, you are demonstrating that TBE is a meaningful part of your family’s legacy and doing your part to guarantee our congregation continues to thrive, innovate, and inspire: l’dor v’dor—from generation to generation.
