TBE’s Young Israeli Artists Project helps create meaningful connections between the TBE community and young Israeli musicians and artists who are studying and starting their professional careers in the Boston area. We support these gifted and rising artists — and enrich our own community — by sharing performance opportunities and getting to know them as young members of a vibrant artistic Israel. We provide performance opportunities for Israeli music students from Berklee College of Music at TBE services, holidays, special events (like Yom Ha’atzmaut concert), and at house concerts held in the homes of TBE members.
Come ‘Kvell' With Us: TBE’s Young Israeli Artists Project (YIAP)
YIAP connects our TBE community with gifted and rising young Israeli musicians who are studying and starting their musical careers in Boston. Many TBE members have enjoyed the special connection with students from the Berklee College of Music, who have played for us during TBE Shabbat and holiday services, special music programs, and house concerts. We hope TBE can be the Jewish family of these young Israeli artists while they are so far from home.
As part of this effort, YIAP is excited to share details of upcoming performances of the Israeli musicians we have gotten to know in our community. The musical experience is amazing and the students love having “family” present to share their special moments.
We invite you to enjoy an original Passover-themed concert and to kvell for one of our “adopted” TBE kids:
An Evening with Shachar Ziv (Shachar played and sang at last year’s TBE Yom Ha’atzmaut concert)
