New Rep Theater, located in the Mosesian Center for the Arts, 321 Arsenal Street, Watertown

[email protected] goes to the theatre! Join us for this entertaining show about the life of famous sex therapist, Dr. Ruth Westheimer. After the performance we will return to TBE to share a casual lasagna dinner from Comella's, discuss the show, and socialize. Attendees can meet at the theatre or carpool from TBE.  There is free parking in the Arsenal’s covered garage or in surface lots. Space is limited to 35 attendees.

Becoming Dr. Ruth by Mark St. Germain - Becoming Dr. Ruth chronicles the life of noted psychologist Dr. Ruth Westheimer from her early years fleeing Nazi Germany to her time spent as a sniper in Jerusalem and beyond. This illuminating one woman show from the author of Freud’s Last Session is a humorous and heartfelt portrait detailing Dr. Ruth’s incredible journey to become a pioneer in the psychology of human sexuality and the world’s most famous sex therapist.

Anne O'Sullivan joins the New Rep production of Becoming Dr. Ruth in the title role. O'Sullivan portrayed Dr. Ruth in a critically acclaimed Off-Broadway production in NYC in 2015. She will be joined by director Stephen Nachamie, the director of the same 2015 production.
