Musician in Residence

Noah AronsonOver a decade ago, a young jazz student from the Berklee School of Music found work at Temple Beth Elohim as a part-time music teacher.  And thus began a wonderful relationship between Noah Aronson and our community.  Noah, the son of Cantor Ted Aronson, grew exponentially as a composer, teacher and Shaliach Tzibur (prayer leader) during his tenure at Temple Beth Elohim.  He has since moved to New York but maintains a close connection to our community, joining us for High Holy Days and several services throughout the year.  He and Cantor Jodi Sufrin are currently working on another CD.

Noah is a highly respected musician and composer of contemporary Jewish music.  His most recent CD, entitled Left Side of the Page, weaves together the Hebrew prayers and the creative prose and poetry of our Mishkan Tefillah prayerbook.  These compositions have received great critical attention in the Jewish world. We are pleased that Noah continues to be a member of our TBE family and are proud that many of his compositions have become our standard liturgical melodies.
