Join Temple Beth Elohim for a special visit to congregant and artist Caron Tabb’s powerful exhibition, “A Stone in My Shoe.”
This striking show features all-white, primarily fiber-based installations that draw on the rich symbolism of textile art. The title, “A Stone in My Shoe,” evokes the invisible pain and discomfort we may carry within, even when everything appears fine on the outside. Rendered entirely in white, the works reflect the profound symbolism that Jewish tradition places on the color—as a signifier of transcendence, purity, and sacredness.
Through this body of work, Tabb invites us to deepen our compassion and empathy, particularly during times when many are facing hardship. Together, we will explore Caron’s deeply personal and socially resonant art, lift our voices in song, and connect over dessert.
