Mitzvah Day is Sunday, May 17, 2015

Join our TBE community in a hands-on celebration of service for all ages.

Mitzvah Day 2015 Seeks New Leaders and Projects!

Looking to get involved in tikkun olam at TBE while continuing to build community?

If you have a cause or an organization that is near and dear to your heart, please consider developing and leading a Mitzvah Day project to benefit that cause/ organization.  We welcome your ideas and your leadership.  Some of our best and longest-standing Mitzvah Day projects were started by people like you with an idea and a willingness to lead. Mitzvah Day 2015 is on Sunday, May 17.

We are happy to help you develop a project that meets these guidelines:

  • Projects involve a meaningful activity that Mitzvah Day participants can do either at TBE or at the organization (not simply a collection of supplies)
  • Project activities should be designed with the input of the recipient organization
  • They should last between 90 minutes and 4 hours
  • Leaders will arrange a 10-15 minute introduction to provide a context so participants will understand why they are doing the activity and who they are helping

If you have a new project idea OR if you would like to lead an existing project, please contact Sandy Goldstein, or Bernice Speiser,
