Daily Schedule
Early drop-off is available
Monday through Friday (3 and 4 year old
classrooms only) at 8:30 am on a drop-in basis at $8 per morning. You will be billed monthly for early morning drop-off. It will be held in one of the Nursery School classrooms,
the schedule is posted on the parent board in the school hallway.
The regular
school day begins at 9:00 am and ends at 12:00 pm. The schedule for the classroom is planned to
include a variety of materials, experiences and opportunities to learn. The day is structured to allow for both
individually-chosen and group activities. A white board will be located outside of your child’s classroom
highlighting information to be shared about your child’s day. A typical day is as follows:

Children may start their day with a variety of activities which may include; painting at the easel, building with blocks, using manipulatives, and exploring the classroom. |

| Morning Meeting |
|
Class assembles to welcome each other. During this time the teacher introduces special activities for the day such as art, cooking or science. |

|
| Choice Time |
|
Choice of special activities and/or play; such as block corner, housekeeping, water and sand tables, painting at easels; and small motor activities such as legos and puzzles. |

|
| Clean up & Snack |
|
A healthy snack of fruit, vegetables, crackers, pretzels and water is provided. Following a cooking activity, it is shared at snack. Each Friday, the snack will include challah, grape juice and water in celebration of Shabbat. |

|
| Circle Time |
|
As a class, children participate in discussions, music, drama, movement and story time. |
| |
|
|
| Outdoor Play |
|
Children will play on the playground except in extreme weather when the children will have activities in one of the community rooms or large motor play in the classroom. |

|
|
| Dismissal |
|
|
Lunch Bunch is offered Monday through Friday
from 12:00 – 12:45 pm
Stay Day is offered (3 and 4 year old classrooms only) Monday through Thursday from 12:00 –
2:30 pm
