Music Library
Music has been
described as the language of the soul. It is the heart and soul of Temple
Beth Elohim and we believe in its power to transcend our souls and unite our
spirits. We are blessed to have talented musicians who inspire us time and time
again. Cantor Jodi Sufrin, our Cantor for 30 years, leads us in song, prayer,
healing and rejoicing. We are so fortunate to have Noah Aronson with us. Several years ago, Noah composed a Shabbat
Menuchah service for our community; many of those prayer melodies have become
our standards. Noah is now working on a creative CD project that will continue
to influence our liturgy. Matt Stern is with us to direct our JAWS productions. As a music director, he has nurtured some
amazing talent in our teenagers.
In addition to
these members of our professional staff, we have very fine musicians within our
community. We have an excellent Adult Choir, a teen choir which goes by
the name, Hava Nashira, and two children’s choirs. We have also started a
TBE Klezmer Band-Shir Fun! All affirm our love of music. Our
services are filled with inspiring renditions of the prayers that draw from the
past and present. Often, our congregants share their musical talents in Coffee
Houses, Broadway revivals, folk concerts, drumming classes, to name just a few
venues. We invite leading Jewish musicians to teach us and share their
gifts.
Here you can
download the music and prayers that fill our hearts each day: note these songs
are available on CDs for purchase.
