Ongoing Food Drives and Collections

JF&CS Family Table

Family Table is New England’s largest kosher food pantry, providing healthy food on a monthly and emergency basis to individuals and families in need. As a community, we are responsible for supplying 50 cans of salmon and 50 boxes of whole grain cereal for meal delivery to families in need each month. In addition, congregants from TBE have the opportunity to work at the facility in Waltham several times a year sorting, packing and delivering groceries to families in need. We are also in need of drivers who are willing to simply drop-off our donations to Family Table in Waltham each month. High Holiday Tamchui (Community Tzedakah Fund) Food Drive/Collection
A Tamchui is a community pool of tzedakah funds. As we join together to make a collective contribution from TBE to various organizations within our community, we reinforce the strong value we place on Tikkun Olam. Donations will be allocated to support six worthy organizations that address the critical issue of hunger within our community. You can decide for yourself how to allocate your personal contribution. Take some time to learn about the mission of each organization and select the charity of your choice. Click here to download the 2014 form and learn more.
