Gideon will be joined by his Israeli sister, Judy and Maya, his 17 year old niece. Judy and Maya left Israel for Boston, to "take a break from the constant sirens." Gideon will also be joined by his son, Ben. Ben will leave for Israel next year to join the IDF along with his cousin, Maya. The Israel Connection Team’s mission is to ensure that the State of Israel becomes an integral part of the fabric of the Temple Beth Elohim Community. We will support programs that will broaden and deepen congregants’ overall knowledge of, emotional connection with, and commitment to Israel. We will support the welfare of the State of Israel and its citizens. We will promote the development of progressive Judaism in Israel.
